To Whom It May Concern:

We decided it was time to waterproof our home, due to some leaks in our basement. We contacted several organizations asking for quotes. Luckily for us Mario was the first to respond. He was prompt and explained the process to us in great detail, right then and there; we knew we didn't need to look any further. Promptness and a detailed status report of where he is in the waterproofing process are the hallmarks of his service.

During the Summer of2006 DiFranco and Son Co., Inc. took on the task of waterproofing our home. This proved to be no easy feat with surprises around every corner. In order to avoid gas lines hand digging was required and during digging our driveway started to crumble due to layers of asphalt on top of concrete. As first time home owners we realized when Mario did, the extent of neglect we had purchased. None the less Mario prevailed and went beyond the call of duty to dig down to the foundation and remove and replace our cracked drain tiles with new PVC. When rainstorms impeded their progress they covered up the site with plastic and worked on the weekends to maintain their schedule. Even in the midst of a heat wave they persisted.

Due to Mario's professionalism we experienced minimal disruption to our daily routine. Whatever extra gravel or soil was needed beyond the initial assessment was gladly provided. Also, Mario angled the soil, so the rain and snow roll away from the house. My husband and I are extremely grateful to have found DiFranco and Son Co., Inc. Their work ethic, diligence and tenacity allow us to recommend them without reservation.

We've never had a better experience with a contractor. Mario was very punctual keeping appointments with us and when on the job. He always showed up in plenty of time to begin work on the dot.

We had spoken to a number of contractors, and each one had a different recommendation. At first we were reluctant to commit because this was a substantial amount of money. But Mario convinced us that his approach was the correct one. Then when he broke ground, we saw that he was right.

We've never seen a contractor work harder or smarter. He takes pride in his work. Every step of the way he used good judgement, based on years of experience in the business. He listened carefully and worked with us to give us everything we wanted - specifically, extra drains in the yard. He was very patient with our questions and explained everything to us very clearly. Mario and his crew were absolutely great to work with.

We give him the strongest recommendation. We've been very happy with the results.

Last fall we had our basement waterproofed by DiFranco & Son. Before deciding on a contractor to do the work we obtained three estimates. One person was here over 2 hours and was full of scare tactics and a lot of pressure to sign a contract. When Mario came and checked out the basement, he calmly explained the problem and the solution. He answered our numerous questions without pressure or scare tactics. We decided to have him do the job.

Today, we have a dry basement with no musty odor. We have not had that in a long time. We found Mario and his crew to be very courteous and professional.
